Site Bio

If you love quilting and embroidery, sewing machines that are new and old and fabric (of course!) then you are at the right place. I hope to provide you with inspiration and motivation in your quilting. I’m always learning and taking classes but I love to share things as I go. This site was started at the encouragement of my sister-in-law who loves to read blogs and thought that my hobby would be enjoyable to others.

About me

My name is Stephanie Collins and I live in the beautiful lowcountry of South Carolina. I am a shameless fabric hoarder and sewing machine addict. I have been married for 23 years and I’m a mom to two wonderful young men and one beautiful daughter-in-law. I started quilting 13 years ago when my husband bought me a sewing machine for my 30th birthday. I made 23 bed sized quilts that first year alone and have made countless others since then. I love machine piecing and quilting and I’m also learning embroidery digitizing so I can one day create my own designs.  Although I enjoy my newer sewing machines, I love to collect old, unwanted machines and put them to good use!
